Brian Donahue will be speaking about his book “Slow Wood” which details his experiences building a home from the wood growing on his family farm. In his book he talks about practicing “worst first” forestry and explores the relationship between Americans and their forests.
“We can have our trees and cut them, too…Slow Wood is a plea that we return that working relationship – that close friendship with nature, however fraught – to the heart of the conversation.”-Brian Donahue
